We’re delighted and honoured to have won the Best Rural Professional Services Business in the North in the 2019/20 Rural Business Awards. The awards are held in partnership with Amazon.
Speaking after winning the award, R&BS Director Jim Richards said:
Getting recognition from industry leaders like Amazon and the Rural Business Awards judges is a great achievement for our business. The competition this year was really tough, so I’m delighted to be bringing this award back to R&BS.”
“Winning this award is a huge compliment to our team of consultants across the country who all play an important role in R&BS, in the prosperity of their clients and in local rural communities.”
“Finance can be hard to find for some rural businesses owing to their mix of land, property and incomes being obstacles for banks and lenders – alongside lenders’ own internal policies, staff and time. But our team’s depth of skills, experience, and persistence help our clients find the right finance to launch, grow, and achieve their lifestyle and business ambitions whatever their rural property type. The knock-on effects our clients’ businesses have on the local rural economy, such as providing jobs or attracting visitors to the area, has been considerable in some cases.”
You can read our other blog to find out what Jim said when we were shortlisted for the award in August.
The Rural Business Awards, founded by Jemma Clifford and Anna Price, are the only UK-wide awards programme dedicated to celebrating and showcasing the success of rural businesses.
After the North awards, Jemma said:
Anna and I are so proud to be hosting the fourth annual Rural Business Awards together with Amazon. When we started the Awards, we wanted to shine a much-needed light on successful rural firms, but the success of the RBAs is beyond what we ever imagined. We were blown away with the diversity of our entries this year so winning any of the categories is an extraordinary achievement – hearty congratulations to R&BS and all the other finalists.”
We’ll now go on to represent our category for the North at the national final in Manchester on 27 February 2020.
